(EN) This collection of photos make up the gallery of images that I made for the NGO Saving The Amazon. A journey through the indigenous communities of the Vaupés, knowing their customs, lifestyle, and landscapes that surround them. Building this gallery of images involved getting to know the indigenous communities closely, living with them, making a large number of trips, earning their trust and above all creating bonds of friendship with each of the people portrayed here.
More than a commission, this is a job in which I left my heart and in which I discovered my passion for documentary photography.
(ES) Esta colección de fotos conforma la galería de imágenes que hice para la ONG Saving The Amazon. Un recorrido por las comunidades indígenas del Vaupés, conociendo sus costumbres, estilo de vida y paisajes que los rodean. Construir esta galería de imágenes implicó conocer de cerca a las comunidades indígenas, convivir con ellas, realizar un gran número de viajes, ganarse su confianza y sobre todo crear lazos de amistad con cada una de las personas aquí retratadas.
Más que un encargo, este es un trabajo en el que dejé mi corazón y en el que descubrí mi pasión por la fotografía documental.
